HORSE AND CARRIAGE TOURS
Our carriage drivers will entertain you with fascinating details, historical narratives, and true stories of this former royal capital as you ride through the downtown streets. No matter which direction your carriage travels, you are sure to be enchanted by New Bern’s unique beauty and charm. Carriage rides are available most days and can also be reserved for special events, weddings and private charters. Contact us today for more information! Recount the classic novel by Charles Dickens as you enjoy a trolley ride through the historic downtown business district. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the unique decorations and lights that our downtown merchants will showcase as the story of “A Christmas Carol” is unveiled throughout the tour.

Tours are offered on Friday evenings at 5:30pm and 7:00pm beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving until the Friday before Christmas. Space is limited, so reservations are strongly recommended.

Civil War Trolley Tour

New Bern's Civil War Heritage is rich, colorful and can be discovered throughout the town. This 90-minute professionally narrated tour recounts the Battle of New Bern and the subsequent years of occupation by Union troops. The tour also includes Civil War sites in Historic downtown New Bern.

Tours are available the third Saturday of each month at 10:00am (March - November). Minimum of six adults required. Other dates and times can be arranged for groups of 10 or more.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under
